BUILDING STRONGER DIVERSE COMMUNITIES THROUGH COLLABORATION
La Colectiva de Delaware inspires and facilitates collaboration to improve the lives of Latino and immigrant families in Sussex County. We believe that complex issues are best addressed as a community working together.
HOW CAN WE HELP YOU?
OUR FOCUS
Envisioning an empowered, trusting
& connected Latino and immigrant community.
Originally funded primarily by Arsht-Cannon, the organization involves more than 60 organizations. It started in December 2017, with a much smaller group, at a meeting convened by leaders of La Esperanza and Christine Cannon, Arsht-Cannon’s executive director. La Colectiva continues to thrive thanks to a growing number of statewide and Latino community partners.
OUR COMMUNITY
La Colectiva fosters trust, engagement and social impact
by uniting people and organizations in three ways:
1
La Colectiva Network
Nonprofit providers, school or community leaders, and Latino community members meet three to four times annually to network, learn and plan.
2
Affinity Groups
Affinity groups of network members focus on developing needed social programs, with the help of La Colectiva.
3
Latino Community Engagement
Latino youth, parents, professionals and others support the growth of select initiatives.
