Delaware Migrant Education Program
Maria Mendoza has been working with the DOE for many years providing much needed resources and support to the migrant community. The MEP ensures the provision of instruction and support services for migratory students to assist them in reaching the challenging academic standards and to graduate with a high school diploma (or complete a GED) that prepares them for responsible citizenship, further learning and productive employment.
Services available to students and families are home-based tutoring, free summer camp with focus on literacy, resource navigation and supports for out-of-school youth.
