A community collaboration led by La Esperanza
La Colectiva de Delaware inspires, advances and facilitates collaboration to improve the lives of Latino families in Sussex County. We believe that complex issues are best addressed as a community working together.
Originally funded primarily by Arsht-Cannon, the network includes more than 60 Latino-serving organizations. Started in December 2017, with leaders of La Esperanza and Christine Cannon, Arsht-Cannon’s executive director, La Colectiva continues to thrive thanks to a growing number of statewide Latino and immigrant community partners.
La Colectiva offers:
- Network of nonprofit providers, school or community leaders, and Latino community members who meet three to four times annually to network, learn and plan.
- Affinity groups of network members who focus on developing needed social programs.
- Community engagement with Latino youth, parents, professionals and others who support the growth of select initiatives.
